Affectionately known to his patients as “Dr Sunny,” Dr Santanu Baruah is a Specialist Gynaecologist and Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgeon with over 25 years of international experience. He began his career in reproductive medicine and surgery at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, and the London Fertility Centre on Harley Street, before relocating to Perth in 2009.
Dr Baruah holds fellowships from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He is accredited to perform complex, minimally invasive gynaecological laparoscopic surgery and has received the COEMIG (Centre of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynaecology) award in 2015 and 2018, as well as the Master Surgeon award from the Surgical Review Corporation (USA) in 2018.
Dr Baruah is the Founder and Medical Director of Oasis Fertility Centre and consults at Oasis Gynaecology in Warwick, with operating privileges at Hollywood Private Hospital. His clinical interests include general gynaecology, advanced laparoscopic surgery, fertility and infertility care, PCOS, endometriosis, and pelvic floor disorders.
